Family run by the Hopwoods for more than twenty years, the Wellington is a friendly coastal pub with a great atmosphere! Based in the heart of Cromer, “the Welly” is a stone’s throw away from the beach and the pier – perfectly located for both summer and winter local festivities!

As well as the pub serving a real ales, cocktails, spirits, Sky Sports, pool and darts and the Courtyard Restaurant cooking up some great locally sourced food, the Welly now features four recently refurbished rooms, finished to a high standard, ideal for stopovers after watching the Cromer Pier Show, the Thursford Christmas Spectacular or even the New Year’s Day fireworks. We are also ideally situated for golfing breaks, with several prestigious gold courses nearby, and visits ‘up city’ to Norwich for shopping with regular trains to and from the city!

In 2007, the Courtyard Restaurant opened its doors for the first time. Located in the courtyard garden behind the Wellington, the Courtyard is a converted stable block where customers can enjoy great, reasonably priced food in a relaxed atmosphere.

As well as fresh seafood, locally reared steaks and homemade pub food, we also have our popular all day Specials board in the restaurant.

Our four rooms have recently been re-furnished to a high standard with en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, TV and DVD players, hair dryers, toiletries, fresh towels daily and ultra comfortable memory foam mattresses which have been described by customers as “sleeping on a giant marshmallow” for that perfect night’s sleep!nnPerfect for stopovers if you’re watching the Pier Show or attending Thursford and other local events.

Travel cots and camp beds available on request. Parking is available on the seafront.nnWe now offer breakfast with all of our rooms, served in the Wellington Courtyard Restaurant, offering a full Norfolk Breakfast: locally sourced Briston bangers & bacon, fresh local duck or hen eggs, black pudding, tomatoes and mushrooms, bread and butter or toast + cereals or yoghurt, tea, coffee and orange juice.
